The New Eagle Creek Saloon was commissioned by Sadie Barnette in 2019. It is a monument to her father’s bar, the first Black-owned gay bar in San Francisco. This piece is both a sculpture and a functioning, glowing bar.
The fabrication of this complex piece included CNC machining, metal bending and welding, woodworking and joinery, plastics fabrication, laser cutting, upholstering, painting and custom LED lighting and wiring.
